What we do

What we do, end to end

From contracted blocks and our farmer network through aggregation, conditioning, processing and storage, to the load that leaves the yard against a contract.

01

Contract Production

PapaAgric contracts production as well as buying on the open market. Blocks are planted to an agreed variety and input programme against a forward purchase commitment, which keeps us honest about what a season actually costs a farmer and gives every trading commitment a floor of volume already spoken for rather than one we have to go and find.

  • Mechanised land preparation through iMTS, the group's mechanisation arm
  • Certified seed and a documented input programme on every block
  • Field records kept per block, so yield and cost are known, not estimated
  • Harvest routed straight into our own grading and storage

02

Farmer Aggregation

Most of what we trade is grown by smallholders. We aggregate through a network of farmer groups and buying agents working out of community-level collection points, so a farmer with four acres reaches the same buyer, and the same price sheet, as one with forty.

  • Posted buying prices, published to farmer groups before each harvest window
  • Collection points sited within reach of the communities they serve
  • Grade assessed and agreed at intake, in front of the farmer
  • Payment on agreed terms — no open-ended promissory arrangements

Cleaning, Drying & Grading

Post-harvest loss and off-spec moisture are where value quietly disappears in this market. Every lot we take in is dried to a target moisture, cleaned of foreign matter and broken grain, and graded — before it is stored, not after a buyer complains.

  • Moisture metered at intake and again before dispatch
  • Mechanical cleaning and de-stoning
  • Grading against a written, per-commodity specification
  • Each lot tagged to its source, so a problem can be traced back

04

Warehousing & Storage

Storage is what lets a trader be useful. Holding graded stock in condition through the lean season is how a mill gets supply in March at a price agreed in November — and how a farmer gets paid at harvest instead of waiting for one.

  • Palletised, ventilated warehousing with routine fumigation
  • Stacked and recorded lot by lot, not as an undifferentiated heap
  • Periodic stock counts and condition checks
  • Storage available to third parties where capacity allows

05

Processing & Value Addition

Selling grain exactly as it left the field hands the margin to whoever processes it next. We take lots a step further — shelled, milled or packed to the form a buyer actually uses — so more of what the crop is worth stays with the network that grew it.

  • Shelling, milling and de-hulling by commodity
  • Packed to the buyer's format, from 50kg bags to bulk
  • Output specified and batch-coded, not sold as an unlabelled lot
  • Processing available on a toll basis where a buyer holds its own stock

06

Commodity Trading & Supply

We sell to buyers who need a known specification arriving on a known date. That means forward supply agreements as much as spot loads, and it means saying no to a contract we cannot cover rather than delivering short.

  • Forward supply agreements across a season, or single spot loads
  • Written specification agreed before any commitment is made
  • Ex-warehouse, or delivered terms hauled by iFeed Logistics
  • Supply into the group's own offtake demand as well as the open market

07

Export & Market Access

An export order fails on paperwork and specification far more often than on the crop itself. We aggregate to export volume, condition to the contracted specification, and handle the documentation trail an overseas buyer and their inspector both need to see.

  • Volume aggregated to container and vessel quantities
  • Conditioned and graded to the contracted export specification
  • Documentation and third-party inspection arranged per contract
  • Inland haulage to port through iFeed Logistics, the group's transport arm

08

Input Supply

A farmer who cannot buy certified seed in June has nothing worth aggregating in November. We supply inputs into our network on terms recovered at harvest, and pair them with iMTS's agronomy team so the input programme and the advice behind it come from the same plan.

  • Certified seed and crop protection supplied ahead of the season
  • Cost recovered against harvest delivery, on terms set out in writing
  • Agronomy and in-season field visits delivered by iMTS
  • Access to mechanisation and farmer training, also through iMTS

How it works

Farm to buyer, in four steps

No part of this is unusual. Doing all four of them consistently, every season, is the whole business.

1

Source

We buy from contracted blocks and from a standing network of smallholder farmer groups, at a price posted before the harvest window opens.

2

Aggregate

Produce is collected at community-level intake points, weighed and assessed for grade in front of the farmer who grew it.

3

Condition

Every lot is dried to target moisture, cleaned, graded against a written specification, and tagged to its source before it enters store.

4

Deliver

Stock is held in condition and released against forward agreements or spot orders — collected ex-warehouse, or hauled to the buyer by iFeed Logistics.
